Steve Lee Lead Pastor

Prior to coming to Immanuel, Steve served as a missionary doctor and educator with Africa Inland Mission, International, for five years in Kenya, Africa. For four years he served as a medical director of AIC Kapsowar Hospital in western Kenya. In his last year on the field, he taught at Scott Theological College in Machakos, Kenya. He and his wife, Betty, have five children: Joy, Noelle, Luke, Bethany, and Judah.

Reggie Ramos Associate Pastor

Reggie is the planting pastor of Immanuel Community Church. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as well as Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and is licensed in the Midwest District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He served as an associate pastor at Faith Alliance Bible Church for six years before planting Immanuel. His vision is to see people transformed by the power of the Gospel in and through the church. He and his wife, Anissa, have four children, Isaiah, Lydia, Nathan and Melody.

Je Yu Children’s Church Director

Je currently serves as a lead kindergarten teacher at Harvest Christian Academy in Elgin. She has over 15 years of experience teaching in public, private, and overseas schools and over 10 years of experience serving in youth ministry. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Learning Disabilities. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Olivet Nazarene University.

Carol Lee Children’s Church Assistant

Carol graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Psychology and went on to get a M.A.T. from National-Louis University. She taught Sunday School for seven years, was a counselor and activities director for the Chicago Alive Youth Camp, and also served several years in a monthly outreach program to urban youth called Super Saturday. Carol is happily married to David, and they have two daughters, Elyse and Natalie.

Anissa Ramos Administrative Assistant

Anissa is currently serving as Immanuel’s Administrative Assistant. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received a bachelor of arts in Sociology. After graduating from college she worked as a billing manager for a law office in downtown Chicago.  She stepped away from the working world for several years to be a stay-at-home mom before coming onto the staff of ICC
