At the heart of the Christmas story is the declaration that a King has been born. Each of us is invited to wrestle with what it means to live under his rule.

No matter how powerful or popular we are, or strong and successful we look we all have the sickness of sin that will destroy us, even if we think we can hide it from others. But if we humble ourselves before God and trust His word by faith, we can experience healing and new life in Him.

As followers of Jesus, we’re called to embody the good news of the gospel that God’s kingdom has come to help the poor, claim justice and freedom for the oppressed, and to proclaim God’s favor on humanity.

Baptism can be transformational if we understand the spiritual reality that God is revealing to us through this physical re-enactment; that we are a new creation and Jesus is renewing His creation through his resurrection and his resurrected followers until he returns.

We place our faith in money because it promises us contentment, comfort and control, but God desires that we seek these things in Him because ultimately they can only be found in Him alone.
